• Dual Career Couple Services:
  If you have a partner, we will help him or her look for a job in the Netherlands, for instance, by drawing on the professional TU Delft (inter) national network of universities and organisations, and by supporting him or her in the job application process – from finding suitable vacancies to writing letters and preparing for job interviews.
• International children’s centre
  There is an international children’s centre on campus offering a nursery with daycare facilities and a primary school for children up to the age of twelve. The children’s centre operates bilingually in English and Dutch.
• Professional support for academics: As an academic, you will naturally want to spend as much time as possible on research, education and valorisation. You can therefore rely on our professional and competent support staff, and the Central International Office, which has been set up specially to serve the needs of international staff.
• Social support: There are various social networks at TU Delft that will bring you into contact with colleagues. These include the Prometheus Staff Association, which is intended for all members of staff, Promood for doctoral candidates, Young Delft for young staff members, and the International Neighbour Group (ING), which organises activities for international staff at TU Delft. Membership is free of charge and enables you to meet and exchange experiences with both international and local colleagues at TU Delft.

Terms and conditions of employment
Compared to other European countries and regular universities in the UK and the USA, we offer good basic terms and conditions with an internationally competitive package of rewards and benefits for our staff, including holiday pay and a year-end bonus in addition to the basic salary. In addition, at TU Delft we are flexible: you can work flexible hours and, if you wish, opt to sell some of your leave hours (which total 41 days). You will participate in a pension scheme, approximately 70% of which is paid by TU Delft, and can apply for a discount at various gyms and sports clubs, and well as benefiting from collective insurance schemes. And because TU Delft recognises the importance of having a good work-life balance, you can choose to take parental leave with partial continuation of pay.

Delft, a great place to live
Located between The Hague and Rotterdam, Delft is a small city of around 100,000 inhabitants, with a rich historical background and considerable charm. The city boasts numerous cafés and pavement restaurants alongside the canals and on the squares, original shops, affordable eateries and good cinemas, all within walking distance of each other. Last but not least, you will find the city to be buzzing with activities such as music festivals and street theatre from spring until autumn.
