Wageningen University & Research (WUR) is a partnership between Wageningen University and Wageningen Research. Our 5,500 employees and 10,000 students from roughly 100 countries work all throughout the world, for the government as well as for the business community. Each day we work towards improving the quality of life within the domain of healthy food and living environment. We search for answers to issues that impact society.

WUR will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2018. Over the course of this century, the organisation has proved to be an international expert in the domain of healthy food and living environment. In these 100 years, valuable knowledge has been amassed and high-quality education has been developed in our three core areas of nutrition and food production, living environment, and health, lifestyle, and livelihood.

The strength of WUR lies, on the one hand, in how it joins the forces of specialised research institutes and the university and, on the other hand, in the collaboration of various disciplines in the natural, technological, and social sciences. This makes it possible to quickly translate scientific breakthroughs into practice and education.
