Tilburg University

Tilburg University contributes to solving social issues. We achieve this mainly by developing and transferring knowledge and bringing together people from various disciplines and organizations.

Therefore we have invited companies, organizations, government, and citizens to work together with us to develop new insights and solutions which create value for society. We create this innovation by conducting research, by learning, and by understanding. Understanding Society.

Tilburg University is internationally oriented. International collaboration is a precondition for realizing our ambitions in education, research, and valorization. We also want to build a sharper profile and to distinguish ourselves in the context of our international relations. For that reason, the number of international partnerships we are involved in will be reduced. Based on this strategy, we will form strategic alliances with a select group of universities around the world. International research and/or educational activities will increasingly take place as part of these alliances. In addition to this cooperation, Tilburg University will actively participate in international networks focused on knowledge-sharing and advocacy.

These networks will increasingly give rise to consortia that focus on European or global research themes. In addition, these networks will facilitate international mobility in education.
